BRIEF NEWS UPDATE

  • Macro: 

    As always, we start with the macro news. The market situation is still tense, with some still anticipating another correction in the stock market, and the real estate sector being recognized as a risk as well. The dollar has reached a 10-month high, and new conflicts could push oil prices higher. Let's look at October 12th when the CPI takes place.

  • Crypto:

    Bitcoin continues to show strength through its dominance, while Pepe remained the most discussed topic in September. The FTX trial has commenced, and there's speculation that if a BTC ETF is approved, all others will be as well. Check out last week's newsletter to find out why January 10th is so interesting.

  • The Saatchi Gallery presents its inaugural NFT-Crypto art exhibition, "Long Live London," running from October 4 to 6 as part of the Focus Art Fair. Known for its support of emerging artists since 1985, the exhibition is curated by Grida, a digital art curator and IHAM Gallery of Paris art director, who has previously curated notable NFT exhibitions. This event signifies the integration of crypto art with traditional art at Saatchi Gallery, with the Foundation marketplace chosen as the digital release platform.

  • Featured artists such as OSF, Leo Crane, ARTJEDI, and Claire Maguire showcase works celebrating London's rich history, culture, and landmarks. OSF, a London-based artist, takes pride in being part of this exhibition. Read more.

  • Nike's .SWOOSH is launching the Air Force 1 Low "TINAJ," a special edition exclusively featuring .SWOOSH branding for digital platform users. This unique design replaces the traditional Swoosh logo with the newer .SWOOSH emblem. The TINAJ release date is scheduled for October 20, with a retail price of $120. However, it will only be available to .SWOOSH users who have purchased and revealed an OF1 Box by October 16, with a limit of one pair per person. Users holding OF1 boxes must reveal them before October 16 to qualify for the TINAJ sale. Read more.

  • Diesel has teamed up with Fossil Group to introduce the Vert Collection, a line of timepieces that blend physical and virtual elements through VR technology. Buyers of Vert watches receive a linked NFT for virtual interactions, and they can acquire an exclusive Vert NFT that evolves through three stages leading to a grand Metamorph virtual event. The launch of this unique collection and interactive experience is set for November 2 on vert.diesel.com. Read more.

  • Instagram's first Creator Innovation Summit on October 4th featured a fireside chat between Marques Brownlee and Adam Mosseri, Instagram's head. Mosseri expressed optimism about NFTs, despite their earlier removal from Instagram in March 2023 due to low revenue and high risk. He also discussed the potential of AI chatbots for creators, emphasizing alignment with creators' values and Meta's plan to launch AI chatbots with distinct personalities to enhance engagement. Mosseri is hopeful about AI chatbots if they navigate complexities successfully. Read more.

Boss Beauties

  • Boss Beauties is acquiring BFF, an organization dedicated to educating and connecting women and non-binary individuals in the Web3 space. Boss Beauties, known for its NFT PFP collection, educational programs, engaging content, and exclusive products, is joining forces with BFF to collectively work towards bringing one million more women and girls into the Web3 world.

  • Previously, Boss Beauties had announced a digital collectibles project with Barbie to encourage women's participation in Web3 and also donated $250,000 to support the Barbie Dream Gap Project and the Boss Beauties Foundation. Read more.

  • Kitaro increased 28% in Floor Price after a shoutout in spaces by Luca Netz. Luca mentioned in Spaces that there are several projects that started in the bear market and did not experience a bull market. In doing so, he mentioned Kitaro. 🔥

  • In the process, the floor price has risen from 0.05 ETH to as high as 0.15 ETH and has now settled just below 0.1 ETH. This generated a volume increase of over 400%.
